The water mint mixture should now be about ready.

Slowly pour the caulked contents into the rested gargle candy and gently shake until the contents have returned to the green colour that you had before it turned blue. Leave to stand for at least 2 hours but leaving it over night will make extra sure it is ready.

First thing in the morning tease vigourously then throw in the final ingredients. the grated sea splurge and a couple of pinches of wobble gog. If you keep stirring it you’ll be rewarded by having it turn that beautiful rich yellow that all good custards should be.

Serve for breakfast over reester toast, or mimsy cake.

Gullwick likes to mix spoonfulls of sparkle dandy in his, whilst I prefer to dust mine with marsh merriment.

If you can’t get hold of some of the ingredients simply pour custard over your favourite cake and enjoy.

Here is an old recipe that was given to me by my grandmother and is the perfect pick me up to chase away those long winter nights.
