I read this on the Internet the other day. www.uphellyaa.org Up Helly Aa Fire Festival is one of the seven best festivals in the world, along with the running of the bulls in Pamplona and the World Cup. I have to agree.
Myself and the Mrs were lucky enough to visit the Fire Festival in 2014 and it was spectacular and will long live in our memories.
A big thanks should go to good friends of ours local Shetland artist Anne Barron, Mike Bailey and cats for putting us up, feeding and watering us and as if that wasn’t enough entertaining us as well.
